This is the day that the Lord has made; Let us rejoice and be glad in it. Psalm 118:24
The Lord took her home to be with other loved ones gone before.
She often shared her story of how she died for 2 minutes while undergoing cancer surgery in 1963.
She said there were 2 Angels calling her back to Earth and the rest is history. She also survived a stroke and heart attack in the 70’s with no long term effects.
She has 6 children: Dixie Scharon and husband Phil in NM., Joann Fowler in KS., Joyce Lee and husband Chuck in AZ., Jim Fowler and wife Kathy in AZ., Linda McLaughlin in AZ., and Donnie Bales in KS.
Her 11 grandchildren: Dustin Wright in NM., Tera Jo McFarland in MO. Bobby, Melissa and Johnny Combs in KS., Angela Alexander in MI., John Reeves in AZ., Staci Fowler in AZ., Travis Fowler in France, and Minta and Andrew Bales in KS. 16 1/2 Great grandchildren and some great greats.
She has a younger sister Dolly Hord in TX. Brothers James and Frank Cummings are with the Lord.
She loved home cooked meals, playing bingo, traveling and cruises, and spending time with family and friends. She loved Dr. Charles Stanley and was so proud to have an autographed book when she went to his church in Atlanta, GA with daughter Joyce.
She enjoyed office work, bookkeeping and managed properties from 1980 to 2015. Retirement was too boring since she loved to stay busy. Her favorite saying was “use it or lose it” and she did that coming out of retirement twice. She lived life to the fullest and made a lasting impression everywhere.
We will be eternally grateful of the unconditional love of our mother. Thank God for the Angels who carried her through so much while on Earth to give us so many years of love, happiness and memories.
