Lorraine H. Heft

Lorraine Heft, 95, joined her husband Richard, daughter Denise, grand-daughter Karla, brothers George & Don, plus her Dad – George and Mom – Anna in heaven on January 14, 2023. She is survived by her daughter, Rhonda (Ron); grandsons, Jim (Chris), Daniel (Candee), & Brett; grand-daughter, Sherissa; great-grand-daughter, Heidi; great- grandsons, Hayden, Charles, Sam & Hunter; great-niece, Ana and many sister- in-laws, brother-in-laws, nieces & nephews; and a lot of friends. She was born in Chicago on March 21, 1927. She graduated St. Augustine High School in 1945 and married the boy next door in 1947. She worked as a secretary for General Motors Truck & Coach for 32 years – but even better, was retired for 38 years. She and Rich moved to Tucson from Chicago in 1984 to be with their girls and grandkids. They celebrated their 50th Wedding Anniversary in October, 1997. After Rich passed in 1998, Lorraine moved to Oro Valley in 2001. She met a great group of people in Vistoso Village and loved to play Bunco, Mexican Train, cards and go to luncheons for almost 20 years. She also travelled on cruises and went all over the US – highlight was visiting Elvis at Graceland. She was able to be independent until the end and was very proud of that – so were all of us. Mom, Gramma, GG loved her family above all else, and we love her very much. She will be greatly missed by everyone. A memorial service for Lorraine will be held Monday, January 30, 2023 from 10:30 AM to 12:00 PM at East Lawn Palms Mortuary, 5801 East Grant Road, Tucson, AZ 85712.
