With a heavy heart, we share the passing of Maria Delia Gonzalez, an incredibly dedicated wife, mother, and grandmother. Maria Delia was born on April 9, 1947, in Santa Cruz, Sonora, to Máxima and Faustino Ruiz. She passed away peacefully on January 26, 2026, at the age of 78.
Maria Delia is survived by her children, Ramon and Delia, her son-in-law Jorge, and her adored grandchildren, Damian, Iliana, Anissa, and Isabella. She was preceded in death by her siblings, Jesus and Consuelo.
Maria Delia left our world peacefully to join our Lord Jesus Christ and her late husband Ramon, whose love story began in her early teen years. Finally, at last, forever together, they lay to rest.
The visitation will be held at Funeraria del Angel South Lawn, located at 5401 South Park Ave, Tucson, AZ 85706, on February 12, 2026, from 10:00 am to 12:00 pm. A rosary will follow from 12:00 pm to 1:00 pm at the same venue. The graveside service will take place at South Lawn Cemetery, 5401 S Park Ave, Tucson, AZ 85706, from 1:00 pm to 1:30 pm on the same day.
