Delfina was born on 09-24-1944 in Magdalena de Kino Sonora, México to parents Sotero Loaiza Iturrios and Delfina Monteverde Bueras. At an early age she knew she wanted more out of life. At the age of 15 Delfina moved out on her own and made her way to Tucson, Arizona. She was a hard worker, her strength, and resilience allowed her to overcome adversity. She built a home for herself and her 5 children raising them on her own.
Delfina loved nothing more than to spend time with her family. Being Nana GG to her great-grandchildren made her so happy.
She is fondly remembered for her amazing cooking, making delicious tortillas from scratch, as the base to many incredible meals. Delfina nurtured her garden with the same care and patience she tended to her family with, and is remembered to often be out in the yard, watering her plants and watching them bloom. She had a true green thumb, and her garden was as vibrant as she was. Delfina also, gave so much love to her dogs Shelby and Amy.
Delfina was an active member of her congregation, where she did field service and ministry for many years. She also, was active in the community. Her generosity and care for others went above and beyond. Delfina was kind and giving.
There is much that can be said of Delfina, more than will fit here on this page. Her love and humor will be remembered and cherished in the hearts of her family, friends, and community. Most of all her love!
