Michael Eric Doughty

Michael Eric Doughty, 38, left this world too soon on August 21, 2021. He was born on April 20, 1983 in Tucson, AZ. Michael was raised in Tucson, graduated from Flowing Wells High School, and received both his Bachelors and Master’s Degree from the University of Arizona. He worked many years for Walmart and made many friends both with coworkers and customers. Michael was fortunate to receive a kidney transplant less than ten years ago after doing dialysis for many years. Michael spent the last few years teaching special education children in grades K-5 in Sahuarita, AZ. He made every day an adventure with his students, from his secret handshakes to his always expanding Star Wars collection. Michael met Nicole in March of 2019 and he always claimed she did not like him at first, which was never the case. They fell in love and were married just 3 short months ago on May 30, 2021. Michael is survived by both of his parents, Mark (Maureen) Doughty and Carol Gaylene Clark; his wife, Nicole; son, Micael, and sister Keren (Anthony); two nephews, Shane and Ethan, and one niece, Ariella. A memorial service will be held on September 13, 2021 at 7pm at the SUSD District Auditorium in Sahuarita, AZ.
