Obituary for Nathaniel Hare

Nathaniel Hare was born to the parentage of Nathan and Jewel Dean Crawford Hare on August 26, 1934, in Dallas, Texas. He was the oldest of four children born to this union.

He began his formal education in the Dallas Public School system and graduated from Booker T. Washington High School.

On May 21, 1954 he united in marriage to Geneva Dunn in Texas. During their union nine children were born; Jesse, Adrienne, Emery, Calvin, Bridget, Vernon, Pamela, Bryan and Brant (twin boys). Geneva was a dedicated and beloved wife, mother, sister, aunt and friend.

He served as a member of the United States Air Force for 20 years before retiring as a Master Sargent in 1972. His next career began when he became employed by Raytheon (Formerly Hughes Aircraft), where he worked another 20 years in the procurement of precious metals. His final 20 year career would be working as a contractor, at Davis Monthan Air Force Base at the commissary.

Nathaniel entered into rest and began his journey home peacefully on Sunday, March 22, 2020 and was escorted by angels into heaven. He was preceded in death by his parents, Nathaniel and Jewel Hare, James Hudson Hare (brother), Eva Jean Hare Maloney (sister), and Thelma Louise Steed (sister).

He leaves his beloved wife of 66 years, Geneva Hare, eight adult children Jesse, Emery, Calvin, Vernon, Adrienne, Pam, Bryan and Brant; grandchildren, Jennifer Piech, Michael Piech (deceased), Dimitri Hare, Teresa Young, Keisha Young, Bryan Milberg, Darrian Romero Hare, great grandchildren, Tracey Bacon, Ruth Milberg, Gus Milberg, Frank Milberg, Jamea Young, Skylar Young, Hannah Chastain, Lillie Chastain, Audrey Chastain, Valerie Chastain, and Olivia Chastain. He is survived by a host of relatives and dear friends.
