Nicholas John von Tempsky Bernau Kettle was the most eccentric and unique man you would have ever met. If you had the time, he had the stories. He loved music and fast cars and could never go fast enough. Born to June and Cmdr. Randal v T Kettle in Yapton, Sussex, England on January 5, 1954, Nick is survived by his sisters Anne and Frances, their spouses and children who reside in the UK. He was educated at Sherborne School, Dorset, where he learned "to think globally, act locally". Nick travelled extensively throughout Europe, the Middle East and USA—visiting virtually all 50 states in his adventures. He immigrated to Arizona in 1979, where he developed a fearsome reputation as an 'Independent O/O Transcon Trucker': "The Englishman", withTucson as his home base. His motor pool was stories. His—oh this small summary can't express the magic exuberance of Nicholas' colorful tall tale life and personality. He was charming and charmed. He was blessed in his marriage of 28 years with Patsy Parker-Kettle and his two daughters Juliet and Cassandra and one granddaughter Aeris. He was cherished and loved by so many. Nicholas passed on the night of the past new Crescent moon, February 17, 2026. He is and shall be greatly missed, life has lost one of the world's luminaries.
