

Patricia was born to Frances and Albert Tarkalson on March 14, 1942 in Anaconda, Montana. When she was a young child, her family relocated to Douglas, Arizona where she grew up and graduated from Douglas High School in 1960.
Patricia met her husband Gustavo Hernandez in 1961 in Douglas, Arizona. They were married on January 15, 1962 and were blessed with three children, Francine, Rodney and Patricia.
When her children were older, Patricia attended Pima Medical Institute, where she graduated as a Certified Nursing Assistant in 1982.
Patricia was a woman of faith and a very generous giver of her time, love for God, family, friends and career. She loved her family and cherished every opportunity to spend quality time with her children and grandchildren as this brought much joy to her heart. Not only was she a loving mother but she had the heart of a loving caregiver and brought comfort to all she encountered.
After retiring in 2014, Patricia spent her time with family and friends engaging in her favorite activities that included Bible study, movies, attending plays, dining out, shopping, walks in the park, driving through Saguaro National Park East and spending time with her dog “Bunny.”
Patricia was always there to offer her time, love and comfort to those she loved and cared about. She was loved by many and will be remembered for her generosity and kindness and will be missed by all who loved her.
Patricia was predeceased by her parents, her husband Gustavo and son Rodney. She is survived by her daughters Francine (Francois) and Patricia (Brian) and her two grandchildren, Taylor and Adam.
Memorial services will be announced once the family has determined a date.
