Ricardo R Gutierrez

Ricardo Gutierrez, loving husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle and friend, was taken from us far too soon. He passed away at home on December 15, 2021 with his wife, Catherine and his son, Ricky present. He was 66 years young and should have had a long life ahead of him.

Ricardo leaves behind his wife, Catherine and nine children: Catherine, Diana, Ricardo (Ricky), Nathaniel Dowell, Alexander Dowell, Raquel De Reyes, Christopher, Jesse and Danny Gutierrez as well as 21 grandchildren. He is survived by his brothers and sisters: Celia Camacho, Esmeralda Gutierrez, Beatrice Lopez, Isabel Gutierrez, Eva Ramos, Chano, Manuel, Adam, Roy, Noe and Noela Gutierrez, with numerous nieces and nephews.

Ricardo was born Aug 4, 1955 in Rural Fletcher, MS. to Don Aciano Gutierrez and Stella Reyes Gutierrez, who are both deceased. He spent his early years in Michigan and Florida and his later years in Arizona, where he met his wife, Catherine. They married on June 2, 1984 in Las Vegas, NV. and were married for 36 years.

He worked for Landtamer’s Landscaping for over 20 years and was a very loyal employee. Owner Chris Potter and his father Bob both considered Ricardo an integral and important part of the company, but also a friend all those years. He was looking forward to his retirement at the end of this year so he could finally go fishing and camping. He almost made it but not the way he expected. Remembering Ricardo for all the good things he did, all the friends he made and the people he loved. Forever in our hearts, rest in peace.
