

He was born to Earl & Hilda Horrigan, in Ogilvie, MN, the first son of 7 children. Sister Darlene Longworth (deceased), brothers Harold, Robert and Donovan, sisters Marion Gossen, and Beverly Horrigan (deceased as an infant).
He married Shara Le (deceased) in 1961 and welcomed their only daughter, Cheryl. His grandson Drue Mueller was born in Australia. He loved being a Poppy to Drue and spent much time with him.
He joined the US Marines immediately after leaving home in 1958 serving 11 years and then joined Navy Reserve and served 10 additional years.
After his time with the Marines, he worked several odd jobs while attending USC, graduating with a Master’s in Engineering, his career took him to Australia where he worked in his profession for many years. His love for traveling took him to many places around the world.
Richard loved a chat, a story, or a game of cribbage. His ear was tuned to anyone who had time to share a tale or two or a beer.
Richard will be greatly missed by all of us. You gave us so many memories and heartwarming experiences to share and we will honor you by telling those stories for years to come. You were an amazing Dad, loving Pop, Brother and a wonderful friend to many.
