Richard James Plank-passed away at home January 17, 2023, surrounded by his loved ones. He was born October 1, 1933 on the family farm in Plainville, MN. Richard met the love of his life Lois Ann Blattner and were married June 9, 1951.
He was preceded in death by his beloved wife, his parents, two brothers and two sisters. He is survived by his sister Betty Shones of Millville,MN., eleven children, 28 grandchildren, and 50 great-grandchildren.
Richard was a baker for 32 years “Best Baker Ever”! After he retired from his baking career, he started a second career as a handyman. With help from family members he was able to turn it into a successful retirement business.
Richard was an avid quilter and made so many quilts he forgot how many. Wanting to share his craft, He gave his quilts to his family and friends. He said he got his design ideas while he was sleeping.
He will be greatly missed.
