

Robert Hollis 'Bob' Barrett USN 1942 - 1945 USNR 1945 - 1950 Born October 11, 1920 in Russelville, AL. Son of William Dudley Barrett and Dora Obely Madden. Bob passed peacefully October 7, 2014 just 4 days short of his 94th birthday. Bob is survived by his wife of 67 years, Minnie Elizabeth 'Libby'; his son, Robert Jr. (Terry); daughter, Carol Sebring (Kent) and his brother, Curtis. He was predeceased by a son, William David 'Dave' Barrett and two brothers, Lloyd and Lance. He has five grandchildren and six great-grandchildren and predeceased by two great-grandchildren. A WWII Veteran, Bob was rightfully proud of his service in the Battleship U.S.S Wisconsin BB64, from her commissioning until the end of war, serving in every battle the ' Whiskey' was involved in. Bob was active throughout his life with a plethora of great friends, experiences and achievements. Bob was ordained as a Deacon more than 50 years ago at Wells Station Baptist Church in Memphis, TN and he served in several Churches in the Tucson area. He was Deacon Emeritus at Northwest Baptist Church at the time of his death. He was truly loved and will be greatly missed. Service will be held at Northwest Baptist Church, Saturday, October 11, 2014. Viewing at 11:00 am , Service at 12:00 noon. Internment immediately following at South Lawn Cemetery.
