

Robert Mark Unterberger at 9:30 a.m. on Saturday, November 26, 2011 a Memorial Service will be held at St. Thomas the Apostle Parish in Tucson, AZ, for Robert who passed away on November 21, 2011. Mr. Unterberger was born on April 10, 1940 in Queens, NY and graduated from New York University in 1966. He was married to Mary Ann in 1963 and had three children. Robert spent 30 years with IBM as a Senior Executive retiring in 1996 as a Division General Manager. After retiring from IBM, Robert went to Eastman Kodak, President of the Digital and Applied Imaging Division and was a catalyst in delivering one of the first digital cameras to the consumer market. In 1997 Robert decided to take his decades of experience in the corporate world back to the college levels, and became an MBA Professor at the University of Arizona, Eller College of Management. He was a proud recipient of the Eller MBA Faculty of the Year award, voted on by the students of the MBA program. He is survived by his wife, Mary Ann; three children, Kathy (Greg), Eileen (Mike), Rob (Andrea) and his eight grandchildren, Katelyn, Michael, Joseph, Matthew, Jakob, Maximilian, Abigail and Emma. In lieu of flowers, the family is requesting a donation to be sent to the UofA Robert M. and Mary Ann Unterberger Endowment Fund. Arrangements by EAST LAWN PALMS MORTUARY.
