

beloved father Rudy Villasenor Mesa, 82, who left us peacefully on July 10, 2024, with his daughters by his side.
He was born in Tucson, Arizona on May 3, 1942.
He was a painter by trade and started his career with TUSD District 1 and retired from Raytheon Missile Systems in 1998.
He loved the company of family and friends. He enjoyed traveling, billiards, bowling, music, dancing, working in the yard, cruising the streets of Tucson and above all, he loved the casino.
Preceded in death by his father Manuel Parra Mesa; mother Frances Villasenor Mesa; twin brother Richard, brothers Bobby Mesa and Frank Coronado.
Survived by his loving daughters Arlene (Anthony) Garms and Martha (Rudy) Tellez; granddaughter Yvette Rodriguez; grandsons Niko and AJ Garms, Roman Islas; great-grandson Isaiah Rodriguez; extended grandsons Angel, Emilio and Adam Tellez; 6 extended great-grandchildren; sisters Dolores Kincaid and Grace Moreno; brother Roy Mesa. Also survived by his only living aunt Hortencia Fimbres, many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
Dad was loved beyond words.
He will be remembered for his loving, caring, humorous and generous ways with his family and friends.
To our mom, Marie “Toni” Sereno (dad’s caregiver). Thank you for your tireless efforts and patience. You brought immense comfort to our entire family. To the Medical staff at Tucson Medical Center and Peppi’s House, On behalf of our family, we would like to express our deepest gratitude for the exceptional care and support you provided our father, during his final days. Your compassionate and professional approach brought immense comfort to him and to all of us during a very difficult time.
A funeral service will be held on Friday, August 2, 2024. St. Augustine Cathedral, 192 S Stone Ave, Tucson, AZ.
Rosary at 9:30 AM and a Mass will be offered at 10:00 AM. Interment will follow at Holy Hope Cemetery, 3555 N Oracle Rd, Tucson, AZ.
