

Ruth was the beloved wife of the late Milton A Graff. She is survived by her devoted children, Deborah L. Kay (Dr. Jeffrey Kay) of Tucson and Steven A Graff (Ruth L.) Of South Windsor CT, and seven grandchildren, Dr. David Kay, Dr. Robert Kay, Dr. Jonathon Kay, Stephanie Kay and Alanna Graff, Jessie Graff and Joshua Graff. Ruth was predeceased by her brother Sheldon Sokol of Bangor, ME and is survived by her loving sister Helen E. Sokol of Walnut Creek, CA and her nieces Tracy H. Jankowski, Michelle A. Holmquist, and Abbey Graves.
Ruth attended Girls’ Latin School in Boston , MA and graduated from Syracuse University with a degree in Business Management. She worked for the Combined Jewish Philanthropies in Boston and later in New York City.
Ruth treasured her 42 wonderful years of marriage to Milt while raising their family and traveling together. They enjoyed many years of involvement with Temple Shalom of Newton, MA and moved to Tucson in 1994 following Milt’s retirement.
Ruth was an avid lover of classical music, opera and theater and was herself and excellent classical pianist. Ruth’s favorite pastimes were Duplicate Bridge, Mah Jongg, knitting and spending time with her family.
A graveside service will be held at East Lawn Palms Cemetery at 5801 E Grant Road on Sunday November 4 at 11:30 am. Contributions in Ruth’s memory may be made to the Arizona Opera Company
