Ruth Abigail Melgoza

Ruth Abigail “Abbie” Melgoza, 44, of Agua Prieta, Mexico, went home to our Lord on May 28th surrounded by her family and loved ones. Abbie grew up and lived in Tucson, Arizona. She worked as a patient care technician for over nine years and enjoyed studying the Bible, reading, scrapbooking, and gardening.

The world became a little brighter on March 15 when Abbie came into this world. Even as a child, she was full of life and joy. Her laugh was so contagious that she would make everyone around her (including doctors) laugh at her silly jokes. Abbie never lost her sense of humor even in her darkest moments. She will always be remembered as “Abbie, the person who never stopped smiling.”

Abbie is survived by her daughter, Chalsea, her parents, Rodolfo and Delia, her brother, Eliu [Eunice], her sisters, Miriam [Eddie], Esther and Damaris [Lamont], and her two nieces and four nephews. We will miss her more than words can say!

A committal for Ruth will be held Monday, June 6, 2022 from 12:00 PM to 12:45 PM at South Lawn Cemetery, 5401 South Park Ave, Tucson, AZ 85706. Following the committal will be a funeral service from 9:00 AM to 12:30 PM at A New Life Church, 330 W Nebraska St, Tucson, AZ 85706.
