Sarah Marie Chavez, 46, went to her eternal rest on January 30th 2024 in Tucson, AZ. She resided at Sister Jose Women’s Center, where she found safety, support, and community. Sarah was a cherished daughter, sister, niece, cousin, aunt and friend. She was a graduate of WNMU and an accomplished artist, who loved to dance. Her warmth, kindness, and laughter touched the lives of all who knew her. Sarah was the daughter of Katherine Marie Butz and Frank James Chavez. She leaves behind her mother Kitty, sister Amy, and two beloved nephews Drew and William. We would like to extend our heartfelt gratitude to the staff and volunteers at Sister Jose Women’s Center for their unwavering care, compassion, and dedication to Sarah. Their kindness and support provided her with comfort and dignity during her time there. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Sister Jose Women’s Center in memory of Sarah, to continue their important work in helping those in need. A celebration of Sarah's life will be held privately with family at a later date. May she rest in peace, knowing she was cherished and loved by many.
