

Sharon was born April 14th, 1940 in Forrest City, Iowa to parents Wendell A. and Esther L. Koch.
She was Baptized in June of 1940 and confirmed at Grace Ev. Lutheran Church in May of 1954.
Sharon attended grade School at Sam Hughes Elementary in Tucson and graduated from Tucson High in 1958. She was involved in band activities as Head Majorette and drummer. She was a member of the National Honor Society and worked a short time at Southern AZ Bank and later at Arizona Carbon Foil.
In April of 1959, she married Jonathan Paul Guenther. Jon and Sharon built their beautiful home in Tucson where they lived until Jon’s death in 2022. Sharon assisted in that build from everything to digging footings and driving nails to landscape design and completion.
Sharon and Jon were blessed with 2 sons, Derek Paul and Bryan Wendell. She was a dedicated mother that stayed home to raise her boys.
Sharon’s hobbies were antique furniture restoration, traveling, camping and phenomenal stain glass work.
Sharon served in many different ways at her church, including choir, Pioneer and Ranger programs and numerous behind the scenes projects and service.
Sharon is proceeded in death by her parents Wendell and Esther her brother Lyle and her husband Jon. She is survived by her sons Derek (Cheryl), and Bryan (Teri) and Grandchildren whom she adored and who adored her back, Jazlyn (Nat), Zane (Erin), Dylan (Taylor), Lucas, Sisters- in- law and many nieces and nephews.
Sharon was loved by many and will be missed beyond words.
