

Shayne Childress, 52, was born Maryland and grew up in Beacon, New York. He passed away on 01/04/2021. He met his spouse, Mayra, while she was in medical school and he was doing research on microbiology. Then he did research with Marga Spiller at New York medical school where he then published a paper called Secretory and Nonsecretory Pituitary Adenomas Are Distinguishable by 1/T1 Magnetic Relaxation Rates at Very Low Magnetic Fields In Vitro. After getting married, he moved to Philadelphia where he had his son, Antonio. After four years, he moved to Tucson, Arizona for the beautiful view of the mountains, sunsets and the ferocious monsoon season. Three years later he had a daughter named Marisol while attending the University of Arizona. He would always tell his children that raising them was his biggest accomplishment and that he loved them deeply.
Shayne Childress graduated from College from St. John Fisher and then attended the University of Arizona and completed a Pharmacy degree. He worked at Walgreens for around 20 years. He enjoyed fishing but most of all he enjoyed summer road trips to San Diego, California. During those trips he was able to spend time with his children. He also enjoyed going to live rock concerts and jamming to the likes of Disturbed, Kiss, Dave Mathews Band and Queensryche to name a few. He enjoyed photography where he captured his love of nature and the four seasons.
He is survived by Aunt Patty Merando (Billy), Aunt Donna Centeno, four first cousins Jacob Merando, Olivia Wolfe, Jinay Fenecal, Alyssa Centeno, Uncle Paul Wolfe (Renata) ,second cousin Kiya,step-sister Tracy Wright,sister in law Lourdes,nephew Stephen and Mother in Law ,Ana.
A celebration of life will be planned at a later time.
Preceded in death by parents William Childress(Dee) and Carole Forte, Anthony Forte,first cousin Mariah Merando, and Uncle Mike Wolfe (Laurie), and Hildora and Chester Wolfe.
