Stephen Balog Jr. 93, passed away Jan. 10, 2016. Survived by his son Michael Stephen Balog and (Susie Riesgo-Balog). Stephen was blessed to have his love and loyal partner, Virginia Shriver for 32 wonderful years. Steve was born in Perth Amboy, New Jersey. He was an accomplished track star in high school where he held many state records. He went on be a veteran of the Air Force. After the military he obtained an engineering degree which brought him to Tucson. Stephen retired at Hughes Aircraft Company as a Senior Engineer. He always enjoyed building and flying model airplanes with his son Michael. Stephen also enjoyed trips to Las Vegas and many gambling cruises. He loved playing poker and excelled in the game. We always swore that had the ability to count cards. Stephen will be dearly missed by family, extended family and friends. No services at Stephens request. In lieu of flowers, his favorite charity was the Alzheimer’s Association 1159 N. Craycroft Rd. Tucson, AZ 85712.
