Susan Joanne Russell

Susan Joanne Russell (Stille) passed away peacefully at home October 30, 2015. She was born March 19, 1935 in Tucson, Arizona to John Stille, war veteran, and Margaret Sakrison, housewife. Susan had one older brother who preceded her in death, John Kenneth Stille, in July 1989.

Susan is survived by her loving husband of 44 years, Henry “Hank” Russell; 2 nephews, James Kenneth Stille of Boulder, CO and John Robert Stille of Indianapolis, IN and a stepson, Gary Russell of Tucson, AZ. Also a cousin, Jim Sakrison of Tucson, AZ.

Susan graduated from Tucson High School and then attended college at the University of Arizona where she majored in business finance. She had a very successful career with Southern Arizona Bank and its successors and The Arizona Bank and its successors over the years. Susan and her husband, Hank, enjoyed taking their RV to San Diego with their beloved cat, Leroy, enjoying the company of their friends at the beach. Susan was an avid church goer and Arizona Wildcats fan. Susan and Hank also enjoyed celebrating their anniversary every New Year’s Eve at Skyline Country Club.

Service will be held December 2nd at 11:00 am, East Lawn Palms Chapel, Tucson, AZ. Pastor Winston Maddox to officiate.
