Was born in Chicago, IL on January 31, 1947. Passed away surrounded by family in Tucson, AZ on November 2, 2015. She is survived by her loving husband of forty-six years, Larry Hochwert. Devoted mother to James A Hochwert and Daniel E Hochwert OF Tucson, AZ. Adoring grandmother to Lauren B Hochwert. Beloved daughter-in-law of Dorothy Hochwert. She is also survived by six siblings, Carole (John) Passananti of Vail, AZ; James (Roberta) Magrady of Chicago, IL; Thomas (Peggy) Magrady of Elmhurst, IL; Ronald (Kathy) Magrady of Tucson, AZ; Lucille (Don) Graves of Tucson, AZ; Maureen (Wayne) Inman of Tucson, AZ. Sue was a wonderful, generous aunt and great aunt to many, many nieces and nephews. Sue and Larry together had many special friends.

Sue, Larry, Jim and Dan enjoyed a beautiful, lively life in Chicago, with early childhood modeling filling their days. They moved to Tucson in 1977 and in late 1978 opened The Carpet Store. Sue was very full of life; she enjoyed traveling with Larry, talking with Jim, listening to Dan play music, teaching Lauren how to cook and bake, hiking Sabino Canyon, family get togethers and fine dining along side her siblings. She laughed, she cared, she loved.

Sue was a strong and courageous woman. She had an ability to make all of us feel better as she battled her way through 30 plus years of cancer.

Sue had a way of lighting up a room. At her request, her service will be filled with laughter, lots of chocolate and absolutely NO country music.

Service followed by a luncheon will be held on Sunday, November 15, 2015 at 2:00 pm at Hacienda Del Lago, 14153 E Via Rancho Del Lago, Vail, AZ 85641
