From the very beginning, it was clear Terry was special. A gifted and smart kid, he graduated from Hamden High School in Hamden, Connecticut at just 15 years old—an early sign of the determination that would follow him throughout life. He went on to serve in the United States Air Force, proudly answering the call to serve his country.
After his military service, Terry dedicated more than a decade to working at Yale New Haven Hospital. Later, he made his home in Tucson, Arizona, where he spent the remainder of his life.
Family was at the center of everything Terry did. He shared his life with his wife, Heidy Lee, and was a devoted father to Terry Lee Jr., Gina Lee (married to Keith Bridges), and Anthony Lee. His greatest joy came from being “Papa” to his grandchildren—Devyn Lee, Chase Bridges, Shylinn Bridges, Anthony Lee Jr., and Noah Torres—whom he adored beyond measure. He was also the beloved son of Gertrude Lee and Buster Lee.
Terry loved music, laughter, and time spent with his grandkids. He was known for his humor, his generosity of spirit, and his unwavering belief in doing what was right. One of his favorite sayings, “It’s the principle of it,” summed up how he lived—always guided by integrity and strong values.
Though his absence leaves a deep ache, those who loved him find peace in knowing that Terry is now at rest, embraced by the Lord and reunited in eternal peace.
