Timothy Joseph Knipe, born here in Tucson, Arizona, July 5, 1983, went to be with the Lord; June 20, 2020 at his home. Tim is survived by his Father, Weston Knipe, Stepmother, Judy Knipe, his brother, Edward Knipe, stepsister Betty Christine Harwell and a stepbrother Shannon Harwell in Mesa, Arizona.
Timothy was born with mild Cerebral Palsy but that didn't slow him down much. Tim got involved with Special Olympics, running in the 400 meter race. Tim started in last place at a slow and steady pace but in the end, he finished 2nd place out of 6 runners. That was how he lived his life, slow and steady pace; never taking his eyes off of the finish line.
Tim struggled with many health problems. At about 5 years of age, he was facing a serious surgery. The hospital Chaplain asked if he was worried, he replied, "No, why should I be worried? I'm in God's hands. If I get through this ok, Praise the Lord. If I don't, I know where I'm going; so Praise the Lord!"
That is how Tim lived his life. In God's hands, as a peace maker and a friend to all.
