Velma Jean Jones

Velma believed life should be lived by God’s grace, and she did exactly that. When her family left Ohio and came to Arizona she worked at Circle K for 25 years and enjoyed her days helping those in need, and traveled the world with her husband after both had retired. Not a day went by where Velma didn't talk about how much her family meant to her-- family was arguably her biggest achievement.

Velma is survived by her sister Delores, and her four loving children Terry, Gary, Kathy, Susan and their partners. She also leaves behind 8 grand-children and 7 great-grandchildren, along with countless friends.

A funeral service for Velma will be held Monday, August 7, 2023 from 2:00 PM to 2:45 PM at East Lawn Palms Mortuary, 5801 East Grant Road, Tucson, AZ 85712. A graveside service will occur Monday, August 7, 2023 from 3:00 PM to 3:30 PM at East Lawn Palms Cemetery, 5801 East Grant Road, #C, Tucson, AZ 85712. A reception will occur Monday, August 7, 2023 from 3:30 PM to 5:00 PM, 5801 East Grant Road, Tucson, AZ 85712.
