Vennette was born to Captain Halley Diamond and Thelma Howell on November 13, 1928 in Utila, Bay Islands, Honduras. She was the eldest of seven children. Vennette received the Lord Jesus Christ as her personal Savior at a young age and served faithfully for the remainder of her years, often through song.
On May 16, 1948, she married Reverend Josue B Rubio. Together they had one son and four daughters.
She was primarily a homemaker and provided great spiritual support for her husband as he preached the Gospel in the missionary field in Central America. She was also the First Lady of the Region for the Hispanic Church of God as they ministered Administrative Bishops in the USA for several years.
Vennette is survived by her 5 children and their spouses, Josue and Margarita; Wilma and Manuel; Naomi; Gayle and Jose; and Lea. She was a loving grandmother as well as great grandmother. She is also survived by her sister Jewel Haddix.
Rather than mourn her death, she wanted her family and friends to celebrate her life. She entered the presence of God on April 1, 2018.
