Bill Tolbert passed away on the evening of July 15. He was preceded in death by wife Carol May 25, 2005. He is survived by daughters Carol and Nancy (Sal), grandchildren Eric and Stephanie and many friends.
Bill loved sailing, skiing, traveling, horses, music, his dogs, his family and friends.
Bill served in the Army in Korea. He had a long career in data technology and utilities, beginning in the infancy of the computer age lasting through the nineties.
After official retirement, he pursued other part time occupations in tax preparation and as a sailing charter captain.
Many thanks to the loving caregivers who cared for BILL in the last stages of his life, particularly Tami, Kathy and Geonna. Also thank you to the Adventure Bus program, and to all of the amazing friends and neighbors. All of you improved his life immensely.
A memorial will be held on August 1st at 2:00 pm at the VFW Post 549 at 8450 E. Old Spanish Trail.
In lieu of flowers the family suggests donations be made in Bill’s name to The Alzheimer’s Association.
