

Albert Leo Lobe, 88, of Tumwater, Washington, went home to be with the Lord on December 2, 2014 at Providence St. Peter Hospital after complications with kidney failure. Albert was born to Solomon and Rosalia Lobe on January 14, 1926 in Olympia, Washington.
Albert served in the Army/Air Force in World War II, and was employed by the Cannery in Olympia, Washington, then the State of Washington Highway Dept as a carpenter and bridge specialist prior to his retirement. Albert was an avid carpenter, built many homes, a hunter, rode dirt bikes, loved to bowl, sense of humor, loved being with his grandchildren and great- grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Solomon and Rosalia Lobe. He was also preceded in death by three brothers, Emil, Ray, and Rueben Lobe; and five sisters, Martha Elhardt, Lena Orlowski, Emma Roth, Viola Simpson, and Annie Stuart.
Albert is survived by his wife, Gloria (Swenson) Lobe; daughters, Rennae (Lobe) Self, Kennewick, WA, Yvonne (Lobe) Elliott, Lacey, WA; and son, Russ Lobe, Olympia, WA; brother, Robert Lobe, Olympia, WA; sisters, Esther Christensen, Marysville, WA, and Helen Yehle, Olympia, WA. Al had 6 grandchildren, and 8 great-grandchildren.
The service will be held on Saturday, December 6, 2014, at 2 pm at Evergreen Christian Community, Olympia, WA. Visitation will be on Friday, December 5, from 2:00-4:00 p.m. at Mills and Mills Funeral Home, Tumwater.
