It was an honor serving with you on 195. We used to say "BF had forgot more than most engineers ever knew." You were Special like no other. My condolences to your family.

You set the bar high my friend. You were the epitome of what SF is supposed to be. Always a mentor, voice of reason and a warrior. I like many others will carry the lessons you taught and our friendship with me the rest of my days.

I can't believe this. I had so hoped that you two would swing through the Southwest and I would get to meet him. Vicki called me not too long ago and we were both in tears. How could this happen? When you find things easing, write me or call me and just talk. Of all the Conn years we shared together, now our separate ways, who would have expected this? I am so very sorry for you. I met him in the early days in the 307th Engineers back in the early 1980s. I knew at the time he would destined to serve a long and important career. BF has touched untold numbers of lives and inspired so many soldiers, leaders, fathers, men.  He was one of the best.

Too few are we that fight, too few are we of right. Too easy to forget the fallen, too easy to ignore the callin', but ye of today living this life, remember the price paid in strife. For as we fade one by one, until all we warriors are but gone, there is a place we all will meet, at the throne, at our Lord's feet.

Memories of our loved ones keep them always with us.  Though not here in body, as we would like, they are here in spirit.  Carey and I will miss BF.  He was a good neighbor, and we knew we could always depend on him to lend a hand, if needed.  Be brave and know he is at peace.

Lynda, as I am sure you know from all of the comments made here and on Facebook, BF was a great soldier and well respected by the entire community. I am sorry for your families loss and I hope BF rests in peace.

My sincere condolences, BF we all miss you....It makes me sad, each time I see an SF Brother pass, to have lived as he lived, seen what he saw, and was one of the few who would risk so much to become something so special........he, like many others who shouldered the heaviest of rucksacks, has left too soon, having paid so much for his passion, and yet he has left his mark upon us all. We each feel the pain, even if only for a short acquaintance, because we all know, we are only on so many of Gods Manifests........
