

Betty, 83, passed away Sunday, May 23, 2010 at her Tumwater home. Betty was born September 5, 1926 in Bow, Washington to Lawrence and Stella Hilsinger. Betty was an adventurer and was always on the go. She volunteered with the Red Cross, Capital Medical Center, Lacey Fire Department, and the Littlerock Fire District #11. She also taught Arts and Crafts at Olympic's West Retirement Center. Betty had been a 4-H and Girl Scouts Leader. Active in the V.F.W. Ladies Auxiliary, Homemakers Club, Red Hatters Club, White Shrine of Jerusalem, Malachi Shrine No. 8, Capital Court No. 37, Order of Amaranth, Trinity Chapter No. 215, and the Order of The Eastern Daughters of Pioneers. She loved to spend time with her family. Surviving are her children, Jeanne Brewster, Larry Canfield, Angie (Dave) Wilson, and Terry Canfield. She was preceded in death by her daughter, Vikki Welton, 4 brothers and a sister. She is survived by grandsons, Rick and Jeff Christensen, Aaron Camus, Scott Brown, and Marley Wilson, granddaughter, Tristen Canfield, and great grandchildren, Corey, Teryl, Trad, Caleb, and Cooper Christensen and Gabriel, Skyler, Angie, and Anna Camus.
