

Charlie Wilson, long time resident of Lacey, Washington, died on Saturday, May 7, 2016 in his home at the age of 77. Charlie was married to Evelyn Marie Wilson in 1977 and they lived a loving life until her death in 2002. Charlie is survived by his children Rhonda Price, Anita Finley, Sharon Comstock, Debbie Brown, John Brown, Jr., Gerald Brown, Brian Wilson, Denene Wilson Harrison and Charlene Wilson.
Charlie was born on July 16, 1938 and was the son of James A. Wilson, Jr. and Eliza Reece Wilson. He had 10 siblings and grew up in Tulsa, Oklahoma. He graduated from the Oklahoma public school system, graduated from college in Oklahoma-where he was a star athlete, received a second bachelor's degree from Evergreen State College in Washington, served in the military and fought in two wars.
Charlie was a loving father to his children, a wonderful grandfather to his 27 grandchildren and cared immensely for his siblings, host of great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins and other family members.
Charlie will be fondly remembered as one who loved to travel, enjoyed staying active at the local gym facility and was a meticulous financial planner. He never missed an opportunity to teach all that would listen about the importance of proper financial management.
Charlie's spirit will endure forever through his family and friends
