

Diane was born in Crookston, Minnesota on October 3, 1930 as the second child of four to Walter and Amelia Lizotte. She moved with her family to Moxee, Washington in 1945, where she attended school. She was married to Oliver Penfield, Jr. on December 30, 1948 and they settled in Tenino, Washington where they raised their three children.
Diane worked for many years at Yard Birds in Chehalis and also drove pilot car for her husband who hauled mobile homes. Her last job was at Tumwater Safeway where she retired at the age of 77. She was an active member of St. Peter's Catholic Church, and Tenino Quarryman Car Club.
The greatest joy in Diane's life was her children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren. She loved family gatherings and keeping up to date in their lives.
Diane was preceded in death by her husband Ollie Penfield, daughter Debbie Tripp, brother Wallace Lizotte, and sister DeDe Bloom.
She is survived by one sister June Drews of O'Fallon, MO; her sons and daughters-in-law Ron & Doris Penfield and Terry & Pat Penfield; Son-in-law Ted Tripp; grandchildren Christina Daugherty, Lisa Humphries, Michael Penfield, Joshua Penfield, Melissa Penfield; great grandchildren Paige Daughtery, and Reagan & Ryan Humphries.
A celebration of life will be held at St. Peter's Catholic church Saturday, February 16, 2013 with a Rosary at 9:30 a.m. and the service beginning at 10:00 a.m.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to St. Peter's Catholic Church in Tenino, WA.
