

James graduated from Kinta High school and attended Oklahoma Tech University. He later joined the United States Navy where he served honorably for 6 years.
In 1958 he met and later married his bride of 56 years Mary Maureen Dorgan. They worked and raised their 7 children in Southern California for 32 years and retired to Olympia, Washington where they lived together for 25 years.
James was a loving husband and father; quiet, reserved and helpful to his neighbors. A man of integrity, honorable character and a very dry sense of humor that his family and friends appreciated.
James was preceded in death by his eldest son, John, and is survived by his wife, Mary, his 4 daughters, Loretta Salisbury (Larry), Beth Murison (Gavin) and Roberta Denham (Scott), Lori McKinley (John) his 3 sons, Michael, Patrick and Tim (Mandy). James was blessed with 15 grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren. He is also survived by 2 of his 3 brothers, Weyman and Lewis McKinley.
Services will be held at Saint Michael Parish on Thursday, September 1, 2016 at 2pm. Dessert reception to follow.
