

Born on October 26, 1922 to James & Ida Brooks in Glendive, Montana. Ken was the youngest and last surviving child of 12 siblings.
He graduated from Ridgefield High School in 1942 and Married Erika Irene Grill on May 11, 1945 in Centralia, Washington.
Ken served in the Merchant Marines during WWII from 1942 - 1945. Ken loved to cook and worked as the head Chef at The Spar Restaurant in Olympia, Washington. Ken was always there to lend a helping hand with his friends and neighbors with landscaping. Ken was a passionate Man who loved Fishing, Gardening, bowling and his Mariners.
Ken was a loving Husband, Father,” Papa" and Friend who meant the world to us.
During his full life of 93 years he loved and adored his Family. Ken was extremely loving and proud of his 3 Children; Ron Brooks (Jean), of Floresville, Texas. Diane Christiansen (Steve), of Redmond, Washington. Denny Brooks (Carol) of Lacey, Washington. Eight grandchildren, Rachelle Erickson, Alfonso Brooks, Amy McGuire (PJ), Ken Brooks, Ricole Watson (Rickey), Jessica (Joe) Carver, Jeff Brooks (Maxey), and Cody Brooks (Brandy).
Great Grandchildren, Josie, Alfonso Jr., Ryan, Riley, Mackenzie, Jackson, Jacob and numerous Nieces and Nephews.
A Celebration of Papa's Life will be held on Friday, October 14, 2016, at 11:00 a.m. at The Good Shepherd Lutheran Church in Olympia, Washington.
Memorials may be made to the Good Shepherd Lutheran Church.
