Marjorie Lorraine Hurd, née Olson, of Tacoma, Washington, died on March 17, 2021 at the age of 88. Marjorie was a California girl, born in Salinas and raised in San Francisco, but moved to the State of Washington when she was a young wife and mother. During her lifetime she held several jobs including trust account manager at Puget Sound Bank, bookstore manager at Tacoma Community College, accountant at West Coast Grocery, as well as running her own secretarial and bookkeeping business. She was also active in her local union. Marjorie was predeceased by her two daughters, Barbara Lorraine and Gayle Irene, both of Washington. Marjorie leaves her husband, Bobbie Gene Hurd, her two sons, Roy Ronald and Ralph Andrew, several stepchildren, and numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren. The world was a better place because of Margie, and she will be sorely missed.
