Noretta L Mitchell

Noretta Louise Mitchell passed away Sunday, July 6th of congestive heart failure. She was a resident of Puget Sound Healthcare in Olympia. She was born February 25, 1937 to William and Margret (Nordquist) Kirk. She was later adopted by Geraldine (Berrard) Kirk after the death of her biological mother.

Noretta married Robert N. Berry in June of 1955 and they had five children together. They were later divorced.

Noretta was joined in marriage with James O. (Tex) Mitchell. They had wonderful years together until Tex succumbed to Alzheimer's disease.

Noretta is survived by her five children, Renee Hartloff of Puyallup, WA, Randy (Carol) Berry of Antioch, TN, Robert (Lynda) Berry of Waterloo, IA, Rhonda Brown of Roy, WA and Richard Berry of Roy, WA. Noretta also leaves behind many grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Noretta worked for the State of Washington for many years before her retirement. She enjoyed a love for reading, listening to country music and appreciated being in the company of those with a great sense of humor.

A Memorial Service will be held on Thursday, July 10, 2014 at 11:00 am at Mills & Mills Funeral Home. Burial will be at Mills & Mills Memorial Park in Tumwater.

Memorials may be made in Noretta's honor to the Alzheimer's Association or the American Heart Association.
