

Bob grew up and went to school in Eugene, OR, where he met his future wife, Donna Hindmand. They were married on April 2, 1951 and soon after that he left to serve in the Korean War as a Supply Records Specialist in the U.S. Army. Upon returning from the war, he relocated with his family to Olympia, eventually making their home in Boston Harbor where they raised their four children. Bob spent his career working for Washington Department. of Transportation retiring in 1980 as an IT Systems Manager. He enjoyed camping, fishing, gardening, photography and spending time with his family.
He was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Emory; sister, Marilyn; daughter, Sandra; and his wife, Donna. He is survived by daughters, Connie Scheller (George) and Nancy Morris; son, Richard Readen (Carole) all of Olympia; and brother, Chuck Readen (Tanya) of Eugene, OR. He was loved and adored by his grandchildren Jackie, John, Andrew, Cody Bob, Brian, and Ashley, great-grandson, Logan, and several nieces and nephews.
