

Roger Logan Holderman died in Roundup, Montana, April 7, 2012. He was born August 1, 1916 to Raymond and Hazel (Scott) Holderman in Pocatello, Idaho. Roger graduated from Olympia High School in 1934. He worked for Rainier Paper Mill in Hoquiam, WA from 1939 to June 1941. At that time he entered US Navy and served until August 1945. He served on the USS Grant between Alaska and Hawaiian Islands.
He was married to Beatrice Wagner January 19, 1945. After the war he went to work for the Seattle School District as Boiler Engineer and worked there until retirement in 1980 moving back to Olympia.
Roger is survived by one sister Thelma (Thompson) Nichols of Olympia, his daughter’s Katherine Wyckoff of Lilliwaup, Washington, Olivia (Hazel) Holderman of Goldendale, Washington and Carolyn Samoville of Roundup, Montana. Two Grandchildren Louis Samoville and Rebecca Samoville. Three Step Grandchildren Dennis Lee Adams of Olympia, Washington, Kristopher Cook Wyckoff of Great Falls, Montana, and Kelsey E. C. Wyckoff of Simi Valley, California. Four Step Great Grand Children and one Great Great Grand Son.
He was proceeded in death by his son William and brother R.D. Holderman.
A funeral service will be held at Mills & Mills in Tumwater at 1pm on April 17th commencing at the cemetery site concluding at the chapel at Mills & Mills Memorial Gardens.
