Sandra Jean Snook passed away on May 15, 2014 in Olympia, Washington. She was born in Des Moines, Iowa to Forrest J. Shaulis and Dorothy M. Heer (Shaulis) on August 25, 1943. She graduated from West High School in Iowa in 1961 and then came out west with her mom.
She met her husband Marvin F. Snook in Los Angeles, California and they married April 11, 1970. She moved to Olympia in 1974. After her husband's death, she started working for the State of Washington, where she worked for 30 years most of them for Department of Licensing.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Forrest Shaulis, Dorothy M. Heer, James Heer, her husband Marvin F. Snook and her mother-in-law Luetta Snook. She is survived by her daughter Tammy Burkhart (Kevin) of Olympia and James Snook (Teresa) of Spokane; 10 grandchildren: Amanda, Zackary, Tyler, Jacob, Skylar, Noah, Abigail, Daniel, Jameson and Ryan.
She loved animals, reading books, the ocean and most of all her kids and 10 grandchildren.
