

Scott was born on July 26, 1966 in Wausau, Wisconsin to parents James Boisen and Kathleen (Lang) Nadalin. Scott exhibited a high level of intelligence from an early age.
He learned to sort mail for his dad before he even knew how to read, and from the ages
of 15 until 18, Scott worked with his dad in preparation and delivery of Williams Lake Rural Routes 1 and 2 of the Mail Processing Plan. His performance was marked by punctuality, accuracy, and expediency. Scott worked with Spencer Dickie Drugs in Williams Lake, B.C., Canada during these years, too. He graduated from Columneetza Senior Secondary School on June 1, 1984. For his outstanding academic performance Scott received the District Scholarship and averaged first in his graduating class.
At the age of 18, on April 23, 1985 Scott enlisted in the United States Army in Bellingham, Washington. He would serve in the United States Army until his retirement on May 31, 2005 with the final rank of Master Sergeant. During his military career he was stationed in several countries in Europe, as well as New Jersey, Georgia, and Washington State. During his military service Scott enrolled in the University of Maryland and earned the decree of Bachelor of Science in Information Systems Management, as well as an Associate of Arts in Computer Studies.
Following his retirement from the US Army, Scott served as a civilian member of the Department of Defense working as an Information Technology Specialist, and later advanced to Software Support Manager with the US Army Communications Electronic Command. During this time, he received numerous awards. Most recently he was awarded the Civilian Service Commendation Medal for exceptional performance.
Scott distinguished himself highly in everything he did in the Civilian Service, and his work culminated in increasing rates in cyber intelligence, surveillance, and reconnaissance readiness. He retired from the Civil Service in November of 2021 with 35 years of service in the US Government.
In addition to his career, Scott was a devout member of Saint Michael Parish of Olympia, Washington where he was known specifically for his dedication to the homeless and community outreach ministries.
When not working, Scott was passionate about fishing, hunting, cooking, traveling to new places, road trips, building and repairing things, loved music, and spending time with his friends and family.
Scott is survived by his soulmate, best friend, and wife Angelica Mercedes Pauley; parents James Boisen (Judy) and Kathleen Lang Nadalin (Lino); children Adam (Nicole), Matthew, and Bonnie (Patrick); sister Jennifer Boisen Remiker (Mike); and niece Brynn Remiker.
Scott is preceded in death by his first wife Tina Pauley, and brother Josh Boisen.
A viewing and visitation for Scott will be held on Tuesday April 26th from 1pm to 5pm at Mills and Mills Funeral Home. A funeral Mass will be celebrated at Saint Michael’s Catholic Parish in Olympia Washington on Wednesday April 27th at 12 noon. A Committal of cremated remains with military honors will be held on Friday April 29th at Mills and Mills Memorial Park, Tumwater, Washington at 11AM. All are welcome and encouraged to attend all listed services.
