Theresa Marie Ragan

Theresa M. Ragan (Terry), 90, passed away peacefully surrounded by family on June 15, 2019 in Lacey, WA. Terry was born Theresa Marie Spisak in Cleveland, OH on April 17, 1929. Both parents, Joseph and Mary (Basco) Spisak were Hungarian immigrants. Terry attended multiple Catholic schools in Cleveland, before quitting school in the eleventh grade and working at St. Luck's Hospital as a Nurses Aide. She then moved on to Woolworth's Five and Dime store. It was at Woolworths where, in 1946, she met the love of her life, Alan Ragan. AL was home on leave from the Army, and looking for a tie clip, which Terry sold at her counter. They dated for a year, and were married at the base chapel in Fort Bragg, NC on October 25, 1947.

Alan and Terry were blessed with and survived by 7 children; Alan (Becky) Ragan of St. Louis, MO, William (Patricia) Ragan of Sun City, AZ, Terry (Allan) Gadd of Olympia, WA, Thomas Ragan of Olympia, WA, Steven (Lola) Ragan of Silverdale, WA, Ronald Ragan of Olympia, WA and John (Carri) Ragan of Longview, WA along with 11 grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren.

Terry was preceded in death by her husband, Alan, in 2011.

A Funeral Mass will be held at St. Michael Catholic Church 1208 11th Ave. SE, Olympia, WA on Friday June 28, 2019 at 9:00am

Graveside service to be held at Mills & Mills Memorial Park 5725 Littlerock Rd SW, Tumwater, WA, on Friday June 28, 2019 at 11:00 am.
