There is no one else in the world that can understand who you are as well as a sibling. You have the same life, the same parents, and spend so much time on the same journey. Timothy was my rock. If I needed anything he was there no matter what. Of course that didn't mean I escaped the teasing brothers and sisters do, it does mean that no one else was allowed to tease me but him. He defended mess against bullies in junior high, took me in when I left my husband, and was willing to fight anyone who told me I shouldn't go back to school. 

One day, just a few years ago, we were driving and I asked him if he thought it was silly forme to go so far away for school. His response was "no, who told you that? Tell me their name." I confided in him that no one had said anything I was just having doubts. He told me I was smart and I could do anything I wanted. 

I think about him every day. I miss him every day.

Recently we suffered another tragic loss, TJ's stepmother, Terri. Terri never posted a memory here, it hurt her too much to face the loss of her son. Yes, she considered him to be her son and loved him as such, even though he was her stepson. They had an adversarial relationship at times, but she knew what was best for him, especially when he didn't, and usually won him over. Sometimes she went toe to toe with him to convince him, what a sight that was. My world is a lot smaller and darker without them in my life. Terri had spent a lot of time in the hospital before her death and I had taken to telling her, I am still here, as I touched her leg or arm. I usually received a smile from her even through her pain. Now when people ask me how I am doing I say, I am still here! For Terri and Tim, Jr, I say I miss you and love you and I AM STILL HERE!!

It's been a year since Tim, Jr. left us and I still keep him close to my heart. I think about him when a news story comes on and wish I could talk to him about it. I come across a book and think about him and the argument we could have. I find a box of his stuff and I can't open it. I play music in the middle of the night and sing along, sometimes I sing the songs to him. His mother, Terri, and I drove to Texas twice this year, the first time was for my dad's funeral and the second time was for Christmas. During my dad's funeral trip I thought about TJ quite a bit and compared the two of them together.. On the second trip the thought of TJ when I visited my dad's grave made me very sad. While coming back home during the Christmas visit we stopped for the night in a rest area just north of Edwards Air Force Base and I thought of how that would have amused TJ.
Everyone asks me how I'm doing and I say I'm fine. I also tell them we mourn in our own way and time. I'm not stuck, I am moving on, at least that's what I tell myself. I walk through the spot where he died and sometimes I pause, but only to remember for a moment. I don't want to forget him, his life or his death. Yes, I still cry when I sing a song to him, because it still hurts. Writing this hurts. It should hurt! The pain shows I still miss him. I will always miss him.

Being proudly Texan, Tim's favorite battleship was, of course, USS Texas. I would always keep an eye out for photos of her on my research trips to the National Archives and would scan in any that I came across for him. A couple of years ago a model company released a model of her and I picked one up with the intent to give him a finished build some day.  Life gets busy, new projects come along, and I never got around to finishing her, buy I have been spending time on her since he passed. This one will be in your memory, Tim. I'm just sorry I couldn't get it to you in time for you to have on your desk. 

Tim was always experimenting with potluck specialties. For summer gatherings we could always count on some very special brisket, so delicious. Fall and winter brought out unique variations on another Texas favorite, pecan pie, pecan de jalepeno was my fiery favorite. 
Tim  was so thoughtful, we could always count on him helping the computer challenged in-laws. He would drive in and fix our disastrous messes.  He made it look so easy and he never made us feel stupid. 
I'll always remember how Tim so naturally became toddler Christopher's DAD. What a great thing to do and he did it so well.
The last time I saw Tim when we were saying goodbye after the Thanksgiving visit, I gave him a hug. I never hug the guys. Now I do.
I'll never forget Tim. 

It's been over two weeks since Tim's passing and the words - they don't come easy or in any form that feels adequate. There are still reminders, some subtle and some not, of the man that left a huge hole in the lives of many. "Who can I share 'this' memory with?" "If only he were around to see 'that'!" A day hasn't gone by that I haven't missed his presence. 

Tim, though you reached your final port before the rest of us, I am grateful for the journey that we shared. You will ever be in our memories and fondest thoughts.

As I sat down to write a memory for T J or( to us) Timmy.  Not just one memory stood out!  So I asked his Uncle Tommy & he didn’t have one that stood out either.  But what we do have is many memories of Christmas’s @ Me Maw & Paw Paw Prices, so many Birthday parties, wonderful Easter Egg hunts, delicious 4th of July BBQ’s , Friday nights loading up in Dad’s van & going out to dinner and so many more!
But one memory of Timmy that we will always treasure  is his wonderful smile!  And the love he had for all of his family, friends and life.

For those of you that attended the service, thank you.
For those of you that could not attend, but wanted to, I'm sorry.
We had an incredible gathering of family and friends, including his work family. The brief conversations, hugs and hand shakes mean the world to me. I had no idea how strong his friendships are and how many friends he had. I only suspected how deep his family ties had grown. I heard only praise for my son and that he will be missed by all.
Anyone that wishes to add their comments here should do so. Tim Jr would have appreciated it, as will his family.

This is the eulogy I read at Tim Jr's service:
I lost my best bud the other day. My son, Tim Junior or TJ. He hated being called TJ, but I enjoyed it. He was not just my son, he was a brother, a grandson, a father, an uncle, a nephew, a cousin and a husband. The state may not recognize him being a husband, but I did. He was also a friend. He never met a stranger or a friendless person. That was his super power. Anyone could become his friend and he defended his friends and relatives. He learned this early while protecting his sister when I was unable. Although, he and I had quite a few disagreements over the years, my son was always my best buddy. I almost lost him several times over the years, but he always returned. Not this time. For those of you that knew him, I am sorry for your lose. I truly know how you feel.
I love you and miss you very much, TJ.


I remember the time I was working on the car. Timmy squatted down beside me saying “We make a good team, don’t we Paw Paw”.   
And then those camping trips to Livingston and other State Parks.   He quickly learned how to pack his own things.  He became a seasoned camper and loved the outdoors.

     Remembering Timothy P. Price Jr.  We called him Timmy.  He and his sister, Pauline lived with us for 5 years while their Dad was in the Navy.
      Timmy played the Tuba in the school band. And he was very good at it. He played very lovely music, not just Um Pa Pa.  He had a three octave range, notes so low they growled and notes so high they sounded like a bird chirping.  He went to Band Camp in the summer.  The tuba was big enough but the school insisted he take it in it’s case which made it huge. Of course his dorm room was on the third floor. I can still see him maneuvering that tuba up the stairs. 
       The other musical venture: Pauline and I played Mountain Dulcimer and Timmy played the wash tub bass. We were known as Singing Strings.  We played for the Ice Cream Social at the church.  See the picture.  Those were good days and happy times.

Tim and I celebrated our 19th wedding anniversary on the 5th of November of last year. We had several dates on the beaches of Lake Washinton.  In fact we had one of our first dates without my little Christopher 17 years ago. Tim called my parents and arranged for them to baby sit. He took us to waverly beach. He packed us a picnic dinner and we ate at sunset. I will always remember how happy we were together.  I am going miss you Imothy.  Everytime I see a sunset I will think of all the good times we had,together.   Love always your Olly!!

Timothy had a hunger for life, an immeasurable love for his family as well as a fierce loyalty to everyone in his inner circle. 
He was always there for me no matter what, no matter when I needed him, he never hesitated. 
Growing up he was my biggest bully, but he was also my biggest hero because no one was allowed to pick on his little sister but him. As we got older, he never stopped being my hero.

I came across this picture and wanted to share it. It's Tim, Jr. getting on the school bus for the first time to go to the military dependents school in Pineta Mare outside of Naples, Italy. He was so unsure, but he trusted me. Little did I know then of the trials and tribulations he would have, but we had adventures and so much fun together over the years.

I don't have just one memory of Tim. All my thoughts are of a dear and cherished guy from high school. He brought me many smiles when I had none. Very grateful and blessed to have had him in my life. 

The office already feels like a very different place without Tim.  Tim was a man of many words, thoughts and sounds.  He was an immovable object in the office.  He was funny, thoughtful, unflappable and modest.  He was the heartbeat of the office. 

Tim’s role, sense of humor, and presence will never be duplicated.  He was barbecue aficionado, well- practiced and extremely knowledgeable movie critic, a thoughtful parent and husband, and someone who loved to and could provide levity in most situations.  His diplomacy wasn’t noticed by most, but he was an exceptional diplomat.  To the entire CyberStreams team, Tim was the ultimate team mate and office space buddy.  Tim always had your back.   Tim had a threshold for pain and discomfort at the highest levels.  I always knew that if Tim told me he wasn’t feeling well, it was usually something that would’ve knocked most of us on our ass. 

He was the best interview I’ve ever had.  After his original CyberStreams interview, I thought to myself that the interview was too good to be true.  I thought he was just telling me what I was hoping to hear.  It merely turned out that what I was actually hoping to hear in the interview comprehensively matched who Tim was and the ideal position he was looking for.  Tim’s love for life, family and his job showed throughout his life and in his work. 

Tim’s body leaves us, but he leaves a part of himself with everyone that knew him …. a wife, a son, a daughter, family and friends who loved him for the great dad, cousin, uncle, son, husband, friend, and person he was…. and is for those who continue to remember him.  Tim leaves behind many colleagues and friends that will miss him dearly, including his boss.

when i was growing up my Dad and i would go out just the two of us to what you call father and son time. we would go out and run errands go to model shows and to opening night movies together. we where both very close to the point that we where never apart even when i was on a trip for school or work we would talk at the same time every night. what brought me together with him the most would be that we both share a love for BBQ and music as well as electronics. He was a Fierce friend to others and he was the best father that i could have asked for i love you Dad i will miss you very much.

When Tim Jr was 8 years old we were traveling to my next assignment for the US Navy in Naples, Italy. We had landed in Madrid, Spain and while we were on the ground the pilot came back to ask him if wanted to see the cockpit. Well of course he wanted to, so I let him go forward with the pilot. I watched as the pilot pointed out different things and Tim Jr asked questions. When he came back to his seat the wonder he felt showed on his face. He had just seen behind the curtain and from then on aircraft were more than a flying bus. They were almost magical. He never lost that sense of wonder.
