Allen loved his dachshund, Rex and was an avid fisherman. He loved his children and grandchildren, Andrew Wilcoxson and Samantha Grace Salinsky. Allen was friendly to everyone and always eager to start a conversation with anyone who came across his path. He was kind and generous to a fault. He loved to listen to classic rock and always enjoyed a fish dinner. Those who knew and loved Allen will remember him for his storytelling, infectious laugh, humor and wit. He will be forever honored and missed.
Allen is survived by his daughter Jamie Salinsky (Dorr); his son David Dorr; and his daughter Kristin Dorr; his girlfriend of twelve years Kathy Van Dyke; his sisters Mary Jane Haht, Janet Baranski and Lois Heister. Allen also leaves behind his grandchildren Andrew Wilcoxson and Samantha Grace Salinsky to honor his memory.
Allen was preceded in death by his spouse Robin Dorr; his son Andrew Dorr; his parents Herb and Mary Dorr and his brothers Norm Dorr and Rick Dorr.
A Memorial Service for Allen will be held Saturday, November 18, 2023 from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at Whitehurst-Norton-Dias Funeral Service, 286 W. Main Street, Turlock, California 95380.
