Betty L McGowen

Mrs. Betty (Sandy) L. McGowen, age 66 “Entered into Rest” on Monday, May 27, 2013 at her home in Turlock with her family by her side. Mrs. McGowen was born in Atoka, Oklahoma, lived in Turlock for 21 years and was a homemaker for 20 years. She was a member of Modesto Taven 8 Ball League and enjoyed playing bingo, trips to the casino, crocheting, gardening and spending time with family. Betty (Sandy) McGowen is survived by her Son – David Wayne Taylor and his Wife Kathy of Corpus Christi, Texas; Four Daughters – Carrie Rhodes and her Husband Brent of Turlock, SuEllen McGowen of Turlock, Sandra Wright and her Husband Malcolm of Turlock and Deborah McGowen of Turlock; Eleven Grandchildren. Mrs. McGowen is preceded in death by: Her Husband Kenneth Roger McGowen on December 24, 2005; Daughter DeAnna McGowen on July 28, 1984 and Her Parents – William & Carrie Brown.

Services: Visitation will be on Monday, June 3rd from 2:00 – 8:00 p.m. at Whitehurst, Norton & Dias Funeral Chapel, 286 W. Main St., Turlock. The Funeral Service will be held on 10AM, Tuesday, June 4th at Whitehurst, Norton & Dias Funeral Chapel in Turlock. Interment will follow the Funeral Service at 1:00 p.m. at San Joaquin Valley National Cemetery, 32053 W. McCabe Road, Gustine, California.
