Daniel S. Correia

December 26, 1926 – January 15, 2017

On Sunday, January 15, 2017 Daniel passed away peacefully at the age of 90. A native of Ponta do Sol, Madeira, Portugal, Daniel lived the last 44 years of his life as a resident of Merced County. He was also a long-time member of St. Jude’s Catholic Church in Livingston.

Daniel is survived by his 4 sons: Francisco I. (Yolanda) Correia of Livingston, Antonio (Alison) Correia of Atwater, Pedro (Eva) Correia of Atwater, and Manuel Correia of Port Hueneme, as well as his 4 daughters: Maria Teresa (Jose) Sousa of Livingston, Fernanda (David Oxford) Aguiar of Hayward, Merces F. Correia of Livingston, and Adelaide (Ramon) Aguilar of Atwater. He will be deeply missed by his sisters Antonia Correia of Livingston, and Maria Vieira of Madeira, as well as his 19 grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren.

Daniel was preceded in death by his wife Teresa Correia, and daughters Lina Correia-Aguilar, and Conceciao Correia.

A visitation will be held on Friday, January 20, 2017 from 5-8 P.M. at Whitehurst-Norton-Dias Funeral Service: 286 W. Main Street, Turlock, CA 95380.

Rosary and Mass will be at noon on Saturday, January 21, 2017 at St. Jude Thaddeus: 330 Franci Street, Livingston, CA 95334. Burial to follow at Turlock Memorial Park: 575 N. Soderquist Road, Turlock, CA 95380.
