Eleutério Sousa Pinto

Eleutério Sousa Pinto, age 90, of Livingston, California passed away peacefully at home surrounded by his family on Thursday, September 28, 2023. Eleutério was born in Nova Lisboa, Angola to Alda P. Sousa and Cesário D. Pinto.

Eleutério is survived by his wife of 62 years Dialete C. Pinto of Livingston, his daughters Eldini de Jesus (António) also of Livingston and Eunice Pinto of Atwater. Eleutério is also survived by his siblings Amilcar Duarte Pinto (Otilia), Dalila Duarte Pinto, Maria Alcide Gonçalves (Fernando) all of Portugal, and Leonor P. Simões of Livingston. Eleutério also leaves behind his three grandchildren Nalani Jesus, Kyle Jesus, Justin Strickland (Sharrisa), along with his five great grandchildren Aubrie Strickland, Nathan Jefferson, Jakobi Strickland, Adelia Strickland and Ellianah Strickland to honor his memory.

Eleutério was preceded in death by his parents Alda P. Sousa and Cesário D. Pinto along with his siblings Antero Duarte Pinto, Dolores Joaquim, António Lameirão, Alexandre Lameirão, Agostinho Lameirão and Laurinda Lameirão.

Eleutério was a member of Our Lady of the Assumption Catholic Church in Turlock, California.

A Visitation for Eleutério will be held Tuesday, October 10, 2023 from 4:00 PM to 8 PM at Whitehurst-Norton-Dias Funeral Service, 286 West Main, Turlock, CA 95380.

A Recitation of the Rosary and Funeral Mass will occur Wednesday, October 11, 2023 at 10:00 AM at Our Lady of the Assumption Catholic Church, 2602 South Walnut Road, Turlock, CA 95380.

A Committal Service will occur Wednesday, October 11, 2023 at Winton Cemetery District, 7651 Almond Avenue, Winton, CA 95388.

Serving as pallbearers are António Jesus, Kyle Jesus, Luis Pinto, Valter Pinto, Oscar Simões, Nuno Joaquim, Jose Joaquim, and John Joaquim.
