Filomena C. Sousa, age 97, of Ceres, California entered into rest on Saturday June 13, 2020. Filomena was born July 9, 1922 in Cinco Ribeiras , Terceira, Azores to Luis C. de Freidas and Florinda di Jesus Costa.
Filomena is survived by her daughters Dolores Scoto of Ceres and Ana Aguiar (Rui) of Ceres. She had eight grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren to honor her memory.
She was a member of Saint Joseph's Catholic Church in Modesto, California and Council 41UPPEC.
Filomena was preceded in death by her parents and daughter Alda Costa.
The Recitation of the Rosary followed by Funeral Mass will occur at 11:00 AM on Friday, June 19, 2020 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, 1200 Lyons Avenue, Turlock, California.
A Committal Service will follow at Turlock Memorial Park, 575 N. Soderquist Road, Turlock, California.
Serving as pallbearers are Joey Scoto, Tino Scoto, Jacob Angulo, Anthony Kaiser, Velma Aguiar and Duarte Aguiar.
Services for Filomena C. Sousa are in the care of Whitehurst-Norton-Dias Funeral Service (FD 504) in Turlock, California.
