Henry Louis Vigil

Mr. Henry L. Vigil, “Entered into Rest” on Thursday, May 21, 2015 at Emanuel Medical Center in Turlock with his family by his side. Mr. Vigil was born in Albuquerque, New Mexico and has live in Turlock since 1986. He was an auto mechanic for 50 years and he loved music, dancing, singing, making homemade chili, antique collector, avid Raider Fan and opened his home to many homeless people and giving them food. He was also well known in the community as a Good Samaritan and taxied many people around if they needed a ride. Mr. Vigil is survived by his Wife Marian of Turlock; Five Sons – Arthur Vigil of San Jose, Noah Vigil and his Wife Cynthia of Yuba City, CA, Ralph Vigil of Modesto, Carlos Vigil and his Wife Maria of Turlock and Stevin Vigil of Turlock; Daughter – Ruby Rodrigues and her Husband Thomas of Turlock; as well as nine step children; Brother – David Vigil of San Jose; Five Sisters – Ruth Soto and her Husband Ray of San Jose, Priscilla Gummo and her Husband James of San Jose, Margie Rosas of Turlock, MaryJane Vigil and Linda Vigil both of Turlock; Nineteen Grandchildren and Nineteen Great Grandchildren. He was preceded in death by His First Wife – Diane Vigil in 2006; Son – Henry Louis Vigil, III in 1981; Grandson – Steven Vigil Rodrigues, Brother Albert Vigil and Sister Carmen Vigil.

Services – Visitation: Wednesday, May 27, 2015 from 2:00 – 8:00 p.m. at Whitehurst, Norton & Dias Funeral Service, 286 W. Main St., Turlock, CA. Inurnment will be private.
