Joe Jorge Goncalves, age 62, of Oakdale, California entered into rest on Tuesday, October 13, 2020. Joe was born May 6, 1958 in Altares, Terceira, Açores to Jose B. Goncalves and Guilhermina da Ressurreição.
Joe is survived by: his spouse, Sandy Goncalves; son, Joseph Goncalves (Kelli) of Atwater; daughter, Portia Silveria (Kenny) of Hilmar; step-daughter, Stephanie Monk of Modesto; step-daughter, Leanne Thygesen (Eric) of Sacramento; stepson, Kevin Monk; sister, Mary Salvador of Hilmar; sister, Elvira Miller of Turlock; grandchildren: Hoyt Silveria, Titus Silveria, Peyton Goncalves, Ryker Silveria, Joseph Colton, and Owen Thygesen.
Joe was a member of the Oakdale Sportsmans Club and OutKast Jeepers.
He was preceded in death by: father, Jose B. Goncalves; mother Guilhermina da Ressuscitação; and brother-in-law Tony Salvador.
A Memorial Mass for Joe will be held from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM on Friday, October 30, 2020 at Our Lady of Assumption Catholic Church, 2602 South Walnut Road, Turlock, California. Following the Memorial Mass will be a graveside service at N. Hilmar Cemetery District, 8710 N. Tegner Road, Hilmar, California.
