Jose L. Borges

Mr. Jose L. Borges entered into rest at his residence in Hilmar, surrounded by his family on Sunday, April 5, 2015. He was 67 years old and was born in Calheta, São Jorge, Azores. Mr. Borges is survived by his Wife of 16 years, Ermezinda Silveira Borges of Hilmar, his Mother- Madalena da Gloria Borges also from Hilmar. Two Daughters- Deolinda Borges Wallace of Alabama, and Filomena Maria Borges Gillette of Oakland. Six Grandchildren.

Four Brothers- João Borges of Tracy, Antero Borges of Atwater, Fernando Borges of Turlock, and Lee Borges of Hilmar. Three Sisters- Fatima Drumond of Modesto, Madalena Freitas of Terceira, Azores, and Mary "Nelinha" Borges of Hilmar. Several Nieces, Nephews, Brothers-in-Law, and Sisters-in-Law. Mr. José Borges was a Parishioner of Holy Rosary Catholic Church of Hilmar and Our Lady of Assumption Catholic Church of Turlock.

He was Preceded in Death by his Father, José Inácio Borges.

Services: Visitation- 2:00 to 5:00 PM, Thursday, April 9, 2015 at Whitehurst, Norton & Dias Funeral Chapel, 286 West Main St., Turlock, CA. Vigil & Rosary- 7:00 PM, Thursday, April 9, 2015 at Our Lady of Assumption Catholic Church, 2602 S. Walnut Rd., Turlock. Funeral Mass- 10:00 AM, Friday, April 10, 2015 at Our Lady of Assumption Catholic Church, 2602 S. Walnut Rd., Turlock. After the Funeral Mass, Mr. Borges will be laid to rest at Turlock Memorial Park, 575 N. Soderquist Rd., Turlock, CA.
